Title: GA-EP45-UD3P rev1.1 Constant beep on power on and under load
Post by: rykaro on June 26, 2010, 12:39:32 pm
Hi folks,

I've got a GA-EP45-UD3P.  When I power it on there's a constant beep until Windows has loaded, at which point the beep stops.  From that point on, when the system is under any form of load the constant beep returns, until the load has finished and then the constant beep stops again.  I've disabled all alarms in bios and it's not the memory (checked it in another working system and also ran memtest on it).  The PSU has been swapped out for a known working one so I can't understand why the motherboard is beeping.  Anyone have any help or ideas to offer?

Many thanks,

Ry

Normally if it is constand short beeps it means a powers upply problem. Have you definitley installed the extra EATX power lead near the CPU? The other thing is that maybe your power supply is woprking but under too much load, in other words it needs upgrading. What PSU are you using and list the rest of your specs also?
