Title: GA-945GM-S2 - Can I run an Intel E7300

Hi,
My son purchased a GA-945GM-S2 MB and realised too late that it wouldn't run his Intel E7300 cpu. He has since purchased a new AMD board and I now have the GA-945GM and his old E7300 cpu...

Are there any download updates / bios updates etc, out there that will allow me to run this CPU on my board???

Here's hoping!!!

Hi,

There are two revisions of this board and quick check on the Gigabyte site (Check Here: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2331&dl=1#ov ) shows that the last BIOS issued for both boards was in 2007.

So I guess there is no update or BIOS fix to allow the E7300 CPU to work on your board and that one won'r be forthcoming.
