I am not sure as I use an Intel chip but I understand it is accessed through the BIOS. It should be in the manual. If you can't find it I am sure absic115 or someone with an AMD system will be along to help.

make sure it is up to latest bios then the option should show in bios to enable all cores. If it works great if it doesnt then that menas your 4th core is bad and wont operate. Some work some dont usually with the price of quad cores being so low most people just get the quad core.

Hi,

As autotech has stated you need to make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your Motherboard. Be careful if you do need to update BIOS to make sure that you download the correct version as there are 2 revisions for your motherboard. If you are not sure which revision number your motherboard is have a look at the bottom left hand corner, it is normally shown there.

Once you know the correct revision number you can download the latest BIOS from here:
Rev 1.0: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2995#dl
Rev 2.0: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3118#dl

Once your BIOS is up-to-date you should be able to find the Core Control Option under the heading Advanced Clock Calibration in the BIOS MB Intelligent Tweaker M.I.T.

Again, just confirming autotech's advice to you, there is no guarantee that you will be able to unlock the core of your CPU successfully and it has become harder as AMD have improved the manufacturing process, so be prepared for a lot of frustration and tweaking and even failure.

F9B will be a Beta version which may still contain bugs. They are normally alright to use but just be aware they are not the final release. I would say try it and see how you get on, if you have any real problems you can always revert to F8.

If memory serves me rightly if you press F1 it should show extra menu options. I don't know if it's there but check and see.

You don't say whether rev1 or rev2? I think rev2 does but maybe absic115 or some other AMD guru can confirm.

Hi,

F8, F9B indicate you are using the Rev 1.0 version of this motherboard. Unlocking the locked cores on the CPU is dependant on the BIOS and as F9B is still only a Beta version Gigabyte could still be working on this.

Unfortunately I do not have access to this board so can't check it out further but, if you haven't got the "Advanced Clock Calibration" within BIOS then, at the moment you will be unable to unlock the core.
If memory serves me rightly if you press F1 it should show extra menu options. I don't know if it's there but check and see.
actually you need to press Ctrl+F1 to access some of the advanced options but try what Dark Mantis said, just to see if they are hidden.

I know that there are sometimes hardware limitations (hence the different revisions) but I can not say if this is the situation here. My best advice would be to ask Gigabyte Tech Support via this link: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/technical-support.aspx?ck=2 as they will be able to answer your question.
