Hello,
I've been thinking of upgrading my whole system to a decent, budget gaming rig and a friend of mine suggested the GA-P55A-UD3 motherboard to go with the i5. However, I've read somewhere that it's power phase is low or won't be able to let me go over 4ghz with the CPU? (I do plan on overclocking but not over 4ghz).
I decided to look into it deeper, and saw other motherboards such as the Asus P7P55D with a 16 Hybrid phase - does the GA-P55A-UD3 still fare well with it? Thanks in advance.

The thing is all boards have their pros and cons. I have had many boards built by different manufacturers and I used to swear by Asus but I am now running a Gigabyte UD7 which I consider to be as good as any and better than most. I would say as long as it does what you need of it then don't worry to much. Anyway as soon as you have paid your money there will be a new, improved one out. Just the way of the market.
