Title: HDMI audio shows up unplugged GA-MA78LM-S2H ATI 3000
Post by: Milhaus on July 15, 2010, 01:16:15 am
Hi, I have a problem where I lost my HDMI audio from my onboard HDMI port. I reloaded drivers, nothing seems to work.

Video works with full capability, but audio shows as unplugged in Windows 7 X64 sound manager.

I tried a new cable, and plugged my TV into my laptop HDMI, and HDMI sound works normally.

I also upgraded to the latest firmware, then reloaded drivers.

I know I can't be the only one.. any ideas?

Have you checked the settings in control panel?

Solved. I don't have it front of me right now but it's listed under IGX in the BIOS. I re-selected HDMI as the main output and audio works again. It could have been labeled better.

That's great. It could only have been a setting that was not enabled.
