Hi,

Not really sure if this board has been discontinued but I wouldn't be surprised to find that it has. The reason, well they released the GA-790XTA-UD4 http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3263&dl=1#ov which is a similar board but with SATA3 and USB3 and which is the board that I use.

As with most Gigabyte boards they will continue to offer BIOS and driver updates and although I'm not certain, this seems to last for about 12 months after a product has been discontinued.

As absic has already explained things in this industry move along at a fast pace and it is in a continuous loop of updating. Nothing stands still for long. There should be continued support for the board for the near future.
