Title: z490i s3 state vs. USB power
Post by: mgsk on February 11, 2021, 07:18:42 am
HI all,

I've been trying to turn down power of USB ports during system sleep (known as S3 state) - but this mobo does not have any option to manage s3 power consumption - of course I've been able to manage s5 power state (ErP), but for a sleep I'm not able to disable usb power. also I've tried to disable all possible options in Windows 10 (2h2) with no luck [selective disable usb, allow this pc to turn off hardware etc...].

any idea or atm. this is no possible to manage s3 power state using this mobo?

Greetings,
Maybe you can share your use case.  What is your reasoning for wanting to to this?

my goal is to disable all usb ports during sleep (power off all Leds on external hardware like camera, disks, splitters..), i know for S4 it's possible from Windows settings, but not for S3
