Basically bios 4 keeps freezing at boot most of the time.
Bios 4c,old version doesn't.

This is the one you have GIGABYTE X870E AORUS ELITE WIFI? Plus why are you updating the Bios you having a problem. One more thing normally the bios 4 should be the older one vs the 4c.
The only reason I'm asking about the board is there is no 4c bios. Version 1.0 / 1.1 have a bios up to F4. The 1.2 has only the bios FA2.

Gigabyte go a different way in naming....4a-4b-4c-4
And they removed bios 4c

I look at every board with that chip-set. None of them show that bios that you showing there.
I'm ask this again were having a problem or just wanted to update the bios?
Can you give a link to what you are looking at on that bios? All you have to do copy the link and paste here.
Yes if you were having problem yes update the bios. If were not having a problem leave well enough alone.
Bios updates are really only there for people having problems.

The beta '4' bios's have been removed 4a,4b and 4c by gigabyte.
I have 4c installed, installed 4 when it came out but had the freeze problem, went back to 4c.
I have no issues,it's just a helpful warning to others if they too have freezing issue with bios 4.
Gigabyte know about my issue with bios 4 through esupport.

The funny part about this F4 is a real bios. The F4c is a beta bios. Unless they have change the rules on bios. That is what it use to be F4 was a real and F4c was a beta bios.

I know, confused me too but that's how gigabyte do it.
Assumption here is that if there's a next bios it will be 5a.
4c is indeed a beta and 4 is final

Indeed,5a is out and on the website
