Hi all,
Got this new board booted (on 1 stick) and installed OS. Now I'm ready to install another stick of memory and go on the net to activate and start updating the OS. The manual confuses me on the placement of the 2nd stick. Any info greatly appreciated.

Depends if you want dual channel mode or not.
I would advise you to use sockets of the same colour (both sticks in white or both sticks in blue) if you want dual channel mode as this should give you the best performance.
You don't say what speed your RAM is but if it is 1600Mhz or above you might find it better if you use the blue sockets.

Hello absic115,
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm using this memory G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK

Then it should be OK in the two white slots or the 2 blue slots. Personally I would use the two white ones.

O.K. I'll put the second stick in the other white slot. I'm new to the forum and Gigabyte too. Used to use Asus on previous builds; but I'm lovin' this Gigabyte.
Thanks again absic115.
