Title: GA-H55-USB3: HDMI Audio issue
Post by: brennok on July 28, 2010, 01:54:24 am
Hey guys I recently assembled a i5-661 with the GA-H55-USB3. I am using the integrated graphics and sound in Win 7 32bit Ultimate. I am not having a problem getting video over HDMI, but I have some audio issues.

Audio seems to work fine when I play back videos, but I am not getting Windows sounds most of the time. Under sound HDMI is grayed out, but my TV is shown as default instead. (http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/4103/capturedg.jpg).

I ran the intel scan also and it says I have the latest video drivers. It can't detect the audio though.(http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/3158/intelu.jpg)

Any ideas?

The board won't work with both the video outputs plugged in at once if memory serves me rightly.

I only have the HDMI plugged in. I don't know why the SPDIF is looking like something is plugged in though it only says ready.

I would uninstall the sound drivers and then re-install them, this can often work. Make sure that you only have connected what you want.

I will try that tonight. I have never had anything other than HDMI connected since I am only hooking it up direct to my Plasma with no receiver.
