Have had this board for almost 2 years i believe and the problem randomly starting occuring with a blank screen and the computer just freezing. This has happened a couple times now the computer wont even pass POST, all the fans are running, hard drive and the video card fans stay at a constant 100% with no beep from the board. At first i thought it was the video card but switched out my 9800gtx with my 7900gt and still the same issue, nothing changed.
So basically ive narrowed it down to the power supply or the motherboard...BUT the one thing i noticed is that the computer will not shut off while its sitting if i hold the power button on my case...i have to manually switch the psu off or unplug it.
Im thinking the board is shot...opinions? questions? trying to get this resolved by tomorrow so i can know what to order thanks guys!

It might be the board but I would clear the CMOS and make sure that you are running the latest BIOS version before worrying about that. I don't know how long you have had your current Windows setup but that may need a clean install too. Check all the things that don't cost you money first ;)

Have been running 7 for several months now with no flaws...never changed the bios because I've never had a problem and its using all default bios settings as well. Ill try and reset it after work if no go ill order another board...wondering if I should go back to asus my old board lasted longer but the support was beyond horrid.

It could also be the CPU. I would suggest removing everything apart from the CPU and cooler, RAM and PSU. Then try and boot and see what POST beeps it emits. It will give you a base point from which to work.

I also work on the Asus forum and believe me they still suffer their share of problem and many are very similar. I know what you mean about the support also.

Annoying when something like this happens and it is very easy to be looking at the major components to be causing the problem.
Before replacing the motherboard, have you checked that the Mouse, Keyboard or other USB/PS2 devices are working OK? This has caught me out before and it is worth checking just in case. ;)
