Title: EP31 ds3l cannot regconize 4GB ram
Post by: kendovietnam on July 30, 2010, 04:05:29 pm: I just installed 4 x 1GB ram corsair bus 800. Windows can see 4GB ram but only 2GB useable. Could anyone explain and tell me what i should do, please. Thank you in advance.

What's your OS (32-bit or 64-bit)?

What's the model of your graphic card (memory 256MB, 512MB, or 1GB)?

CPU-Z (or other software) may help you to provide some details of your motherboard, memory, graphic card:

Hi... Good observation... probably it will be helpful if you can provide the model# of the Corsair memory.

Have you tried to swap the memory into different slots? Or, you may first try to boot your system with 1GB, 2GB, than 4GB...

thanks for your advice. I did everything until i found this main just support 4 x 1GB SINGLE SIDE haiz.

This is so true. When I start considering a new build I always choose the motherboard first and then check which components will work "Out-Of-The-Box". It is a common error to assume that all memory, GPU's etc., will work fine but, as your experience has shown, that isn't always the case. The key to any new build is research and you can never do too much of this.

I'm pleased that you have resolved your problem and hope that everything is now working fine for you.
