Title: Warranty Info On GV-N460OC-1GI

I am about to buy the above graphics card from dabs uk. But they have no mention of the warranty for this product, and gigabyte web site says to contact the place of purchase! So I am bit confused - how many years warranty do I have for this graphics card? Is it with the manufacturer or the E-seller(dabs)?
And do I have to bare the cost of sending the item(if the item is defective) to gigabyte?

Hi,

If you are in the UK then there would be a minimum of 12 months warranty and your first port of call would be the shop (e-seller) where you bought the goods. Have you actually asked dabs about the length of warranty on this card? They should tell you how long it is.

I haven't actually had to return any Gigabyte products but I believe you are liable for the cost of sending an item to them.

Yes you are right absic , the original warranty (usually 12 months) is with the retailer and then any additional warranty period is with the manufacturer. Gigabyte have stopped their policy of making the customer pay the postage for this service as from (I think) May this year.

I am not the only one having this problem at the moment, this is discussed in an another forum as well, I have already send an email to dabs customer services and awaiting reply, thought I might get some one from gigabyte to answer as well!

You might but by then the warranty will have expired anyhow. ;D
