Hey I've been reading reviews online at Newegg and some other sites about RAM should be running at 2000MHz, but cannot run any faster than 1800MHz. Is that true? Does that depend on the list of supported for the specific mobos or is it universal for all RAM to run at a lower frequency?

I haven't come across this debate before but I would expect to be able to run the memory at whatever it was specified at as long as the motherboard allowed it. All these settings are classed as overclocking as they all go far beyond the JEDEC standard so if the memory is good enough I don't see a problem. There is ram specified at 2300htz. I have not tried any of these super fast modules as generally I don't overclock to any great degree and they are also extremely expensive.
