Title: Are these startup items required for my system?
Post by: onemilimeter on August 09, 2010, 11:48:37 am
I've two HDDs connected to SATA-0 and SATA-2 port respectively. Both are used as two separate drives storing different stuffs. I did not configure any setting related to RAID in the BIOS.

Gigabyte places several startup items (System Configuration Utility --> Startup) as given below. Do you think my system requires these startup items? Can I disable them?

36X Raid Configurer
C:\WINDOWS\system32\xRaidSetup.exe boot

JMB36X IDE Setup
C:\WINDOWS\RaidTool\xInsIDE.exe

NUSB3MON
C|\Program Files\Renesas Electronics\USB 3.0 Host Controller Driver\Application\nusb3mon.exe

They can all be disabled if you are not using them.

Just remember with the USB3 driver I am not sure if it will affect the USB3 ports or whether they will just revert to USB2. You can check if you want to.
