Hi guys,
Going to pull the trigger on a GA-X58A-UD5 this week. I'm an AMD person for the past ten years and really know very little about Intel except I want one. I would like to know the exact memory that has been successfully used by the majority of users by brand and model number. By that I mean what runs great right out of the box?
Thanks,

Well if I had to recommend one make it would have to be Corsair. It is also what I am running at the moment on a UD7 version of the same board. Simply Plug n Play. I am using the Dominators @ 1600Mhz. They come with XMP and you only have to enter that to get them to run at the speed - no worries. ;D ;D ;D
Another good thing is that on Ebuyer they have just dropped in price : http://www.ebuyer.com/product/152641

Thank you Dark Mantis. I am U.SA. so I found these on NewEgg http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145225 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145225)I believe this is the one you referred me to. If this is incorrect, please let me know. Thanks for the reply and now I'll have two Gigabyte systems, one AMD, and the other Intel.

Yes Jakeman those are the same ones. I am pig sick now though after seeing the price of them over there :'( :'( :'( It's just another case of "rip off Britain" >:(
My bad I just looked again and realised that they are only the 1Gb modules whereas mine are the same but 2Gb modules. I thought they were exceedingly cheap. ::)
Heres the link for mine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145224&Tpk=TR3X6G1600C8D

OMG!!!!! DM, you are just going to have to move across the pond. I'm going to get the memory at the same time I order the board before they change their mind. As always, thanks for your help and let me say you and absic115 are truly the best. You both are one of the reasons I switched from ASUS to Gigabyte.

Well thanks for the vote of confidence, I am sure absic will appreciate it too. Only trouble now is we have to live up to it. ;)

Hi DM,
Thanks for the heads-up on that. I fixed my order and discovered they have an instant 30.00 U.S. dollars off + a mail in rebate $20.00 to boot. Total cost to me $189.00 U.S. Yup I ordered them.
Thanks,
