Title: AMD Athlon II X4 630 and Gigabyte GA-M55S-S3 v2

Ok guys, i got Gigabyte motherboard GA-M55S-S3 v2 and i use amd X2 4800+ CPU now.

Now i am planing to buy AMD Athlon II X4 630, i was looking on Gigabyte homepage and CPU SUPPORT LIST that L3 isnt supported!

So the question is will this CPU work with  GA-M55S-S3?

Hi,

From the link you provided I double checked the CPU support list and you will be pleased to know that according to that the AM3 Athlon X4 630 CPU is supported but, you will need to update your BIOS to the latest version which is FJI.

Don't forget you won't be able to use that processor to flash the BIOS if you haven't already done it.
