Hi
My pc was just updated with a M68M-S2P,
I can not get the sound configured on web sites. It plays some sound on you tube, some audio, but 99 % you vcan not here.
My .mov files do not have audio either.
media center and media player are ok
vistas home premium 32 bit 2 g ram, both IE8 and firefox will not play the file sounds, sp[eakers work on rear hookups, only.
2 speaker set
amd athlon 11 X4 630 PROCESSOR
Please advise

Hi there,
It seems, from what you are saying that the problem is with the software configuration rather than with the hardware.
The first thing to try would be to disconnect your speakers then, when your computer is running, plug them back in using the green socket on the rear of the PC. If everything is working OK, when you do this A dialog box should appear on your PC Screen asking you to select the Current Connected Device. Once you have selected the speakers you will then need to set your Speaker Configuration to Stereo.

When you plug the speakers into the audio output socket does the Auto Sensing Dialogue box come up on your PC Screen?

Have you installed all the audio drivers?

It went back to the builder today, the on site tech couldn't fix it either.

Well hopefully they will be able to sort it out for you and to be honest, it is most probably going to be less frustrating for you than bouncing things around on the forum.
