Hi
I have decided to replace my graphics card on my GA-M61PME-S2P motherboard.
I have not done this before ; my PCI-e slot is light blue with a lever at the right hand side which points upwards at the right hand end
what do I do to this lever to release the graphics card? the mobo manual is not very helpful!
thanks

Hi and welcome to the forum
If the lever is white you just push it in if it is blue you just pull it away from the driection of the card. Don't forget the screw at the other end of the card attaching it to the case. ;)

Hi
many thanks for quick reply -it is blue so I guess I pull it up as viewed from inside the case.
I dont want to break anything!!

No it's fairly sturdy and is just a continuation of the socket. It is pliable so just pull it upwards to release the clip while you remove the card.

thats great - thanks again for your help -I dont think the manual really explains at all!!
cheers

Your welcome and no the manual isn't perfect. I don't know if you are just expected to know certain things or if it is just badly written. I suppose there is a limited space to fill. Anyway if you need any more help please come back.
