After working surprisingly well for several days, my new GA-D510UD hung first during its check of DMI pool data then immediately after when I swapped the DRAM. I am running the F4 (current) version of the BIOS. I read other suggestions that the chipset driver be updated but as this is loaded at boot in Linux I do not understand this approach as a promising solution. I am comfortable that linux is not a supported operating system, but I need to sort out this issue before any O/S can be installed. Most likely unrelated, my first issue arose after a failed attempt to install lvm on software raid5 (mdadm). Are there any suggestions to enable this board load an O/S. I like this board very much but it needs an operating system.

This problem has arisen before and if memory serves me well it was fixed by clearing the CMOS. Something to do with leftover settings from the factory. Anyway worth a try. ;)
