Title: Gigabyte GeForce GT 240 1GB Overclocked- Freeze Screen Problem
Post by: Walklight on September 01, 2010, 08:29:58 am
Hey Guys,
I need your help here~

I just bought a new set of hardware and would like to build my own PC~
the overall product is seem good, but after i install my graphic card's drive, it just freeze at the "welcome" screen of my Window 7 Ultimate.
I only can enter to the windows' save mode and the windows when the graphic drive is disabled/uninstalled.

my PC specs are as below:

Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3L
Processor: i5 760
Graphic Card: Gigabyte GeForce GT 240 1GB Overclocked
RAM: Corsair DDR3 2 GB
Hard Disk: Western Digital  1TB Sata Hard Disk
DVD Room: LG 22x Sata
Power Supply: CoolerMaster GX 550W PSU

In other forum, there are a lot of people who facing the same problem. please refer to the link below for further information:

In this case, are we allowed to claim the warranty? or exchange a new graphic card (same model) base on the warranty of the card?
Thank you.

The thing is that if it is truly a problem with the card then you are entitled to RMA it but often it is a driver problem and in that case you are not. nVidea cards have been having problems with the drivers and that is one reason I went for the Radeon card instead. It is important to do your homework before specifying your build components.
