Hi all,
I have a GA EP45-UD3P rev. 1.0 mainboard (BIOS F10), which I'm very happy with. I currently have a Q9650 installed in it. I know that the CPU supports Intel's Virtualization Technology for Directed I/O (aka VT-d), but I also know that for this feature to work, the mainboard needs to support it.
Does anyone know if this board has VT-d support? I do some virtual machine work both with Windows 7 XP mode and VMWare Workstation, so I'd be interested to know. Thanks for any information you can provide.

If you check your manual on page 51 you can see how to select it.

The manual simply lists "Virtualization Technology", which implies Intel VT-x.
Virtualization for Directed I/O (also known as "VT-d") is an additional feature. This is the feature I'm asking about. Not all Intel processors which support VT-x support VT-d (in my case, the Q9650 does), and it needs to be run on a VT-d capable mainboard too.
So, back to my first question --does anyone know if this board supports VT-d, and if so, how to ensure it is enabled?

Hi,
Its very strange, my motherboard doesn´t have the Vt-d options on the bios too... I have downloaded the manual of the last motherboard of Gigabyte and nothing...
And I can´t put Vt-d to work, without bios support...
Best regards,
Leao
