Hi, can the 1366 zif socket be replaced in the service center in the UK , if so what is the cost ?
-
Hi, andyr,
I had a 775 socket replaced by the good chaps and chapesses about 2 weeks ago,
Great guys :-*, only cost me £10 + p7p, Hope your lucky too.
I caught my finger nail under the socket while taking out the cpu,
Doh, and my stomach turned, churned :'(
I'm sure they will help you,
Fingers crossed for you,
Cheers

Thats good to hear , fingers crossed then :)

Hi Andyr,
did you manage to sort this yet? It's not actually covered on the warranty, bit Gigabyte do normally help with that any way :)
you'll need to email your serial number and contact details to returns@gbt-tech.co.uk and they'll send you an RMA number.
Hope that helps!

I sent the board back last week and i called today for an update , i was told they couldn't repair my board and were sending me a replacement that should be with them on Friday so to me early next week :)
Count myself very lucky as they could of refushed me point blank , i think there have been a few 1366 sockets borked though across all makes due to the size and ammount of pins, first socket type i have had an issue with and hope its the last :o
Excellent service by Gigabyte, first giga board for me and think the service is second to none
