Title: 965p-ds3 (rev 3.3) electical noise/coil whine
Post by: astroboy on September 28, 2010, 05:17:50 am
I'm having the exact same issue described with the X58A-UD3R in this thread

http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,1426.0.html (http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,1426.0.html)

This was ultimately fixed with a new bios revision and I want to know if there is any solution for this problem on my mobo. I'm currently at F12 and don't want to bother flashing to F13/14 unless there is a known fix.

I've played around with all the power saving settings and have manually set my vcore but nothing works.

Any help?

Hi Astroboy and welcome to the forum.
As far as I am aware the hardware fix is still being proved and so far only applies to the UD3 boards. Obviously if it proves to be effective then it will be opened up to cover other boards also.
