Hi
I have a GA-MA78GM-UD2H with F4 bios, running Windows XP Professional SP3 and I don't seem to have the Dolby Home Theatre options in the realtek control panel. I've tried the drivers that came with the motherboard, the ones off the Gigabyte site and now im running the latest which is R2.26 from the Realtek site.

Hi,
I had a problem similar to yours when SP3 installed,
Went to this site -- http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/itproxpsp/thread/dd309773-6bb6-4311-8d9f-28d848bca4f8
But in the end I uninstalled SP3,
It may be fixed/patched now, but I ain't trying again >:(

Thanks for the info, but still no joy the realtek control panel still doesn't have the dolby home theatre options. We have another Gigabyte AMD 780G + SB700 motherboard the GA-MA78GPM-DS2H which has dolby home theatre and thats working. I tried to copy the install exactly but on this board the GA-MA78GM-UD2H it still isn't working. Even so the manual and the Gigabyte site says it supports it.

Hi,
In addition to my PM, have you tried here

Hey thanks, but I already tried the technical support and they didn't really help me. They were more interested in what I had connected to the SPDIF. I tried all thier suggestions but nothing. I had Vista Buisness SP2 installed at the time and I couldn't get the dolby home theatre gui running it just came up with "No valid audio endpoints found". Its like the motherboard hasn't got it enabled. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem with the motherboard.

Hi,
Longshot, but have you got front audio speakers AND rears active at the Mo, if so try disabling the front ones,
on My GA-73PVM-s2H, I cant get any sound at all without fronts panel connected, without jumpers on audio spidif pins.
Cheers
