Title: Microphone not working; Gigabyte GA-965GM

Well, as the title say I can't get the microphone to work. I noticed when i tried to speak over msn.

Sound is working normally but at first nothing worked when I used msn.
Then I could change the sound settings in msn and unchecked high defenition sound and picked another alternative. The I got sound.

Unfortunately the microphone settings had just that alternative(high definition sound) so I couldn't make it work.

The control panel notice the microphone though when I plug it in....

Are you using the latest Realtek drivers?   

If not please install them from your motherboards homepage (I'd link you but you didn't give a full model name).  Then be sure you have microphone enabled in device manager, sounds, and be sure it is not muted
