Is their such a card, I will water cool it, but I want a quiet card to use for the few weeks before I add the water.
Then again might not get around to water cool it, so I want the quietest, I can get, i am lazy :(
Thanks.

To be honest there is no such animal as a quiet 480 ;) If you watercool it that's different but you would then forget your warranty as you would have to remove the heatsink/fan assembly. You can actually purchase them already converted by the factory but I haven't seen them for sale in the UK I don't know about Aus.

You might be able to dampen the sound with insulation on the inside of the case, no idea how effective it would be though. Performance usually comes with a cost...

The trouble with adding any insulation like that is that it not only insulates the noise but also the heat and that is counter productive as it just makes a hotter environment inside the case even given adequate cooling.

An expensive 3rd party cooler might reduce the noise a little, but not drastically I wouldn't have thought!

No that's it. When you are running a monster like that you can only tame it with water. Anything else will make one hell of a noise keeping it cool.
