Title: GA-MA69G-S3H no ethernet- driver problem
Post by: Narik on October 13, 2010, 10:12:16 pm
I have a GA-MA69G-S3H board with Athlon 64 X2 5600 (I'm not sure about the mobo revision number. I can't see it on the board.)
4 gigs ram
Seagate SATA

I've been running XP x64 with the Realtek 8139 Driver downloaded from here http://be.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=2569&ost=windows%3Csup%3E%C2%AE%3C%2fsup%3E+xp+64bit#anchor_os (http://be.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/Driver_Model.aspx?ProductID=2569&ost=windows%3Csup%3E%C2%AE%3C%2fsup%3E+xp+64bit#anchor_os)

I can't get ethernet installed for XP x32. According to the Gigabyte support page, x32 uses the same ethernet drivers.

Yesterday, I reinstalled XP x64 and I couldn't get the ethernet to work on it either. I installed and reinstalled the drivers. Still no go.

I then installed Windows 7, and ethernet is working. I didn't install the Gigabyte drivers.

I've searched on the net, but found no leads.

Am I overlooking something simple?

I hope I've provided enough information to get some assistance.
