Title: Memory For GA-P55-USB3
Post by: lucho on October 15, 2010, 10:47:16 pm
Hello Everybody,

I Have the Mobo Ga-P55-USB3  with the latest Bios ( F8) and i tried to install the memory G-Skill DDR3-1333 2Gbx2 = 4GB    Ref F3-10666CL9D-4GBNQ.

Every time i turned on the computer after Windows 7 ultimate 64 Bits loaded my computer Freeze with the  Blue screen of death.

I think is problem of the memory. There's any thing i could do in Bios to this memory works?? If not, tell me a nice memory that works fine in this motherboard. Could Be a  DDR3 1600

My specifications is:

Mobo : GA-P55-USB3
Processor : Intel LGA 1156 Icore5 750
Graphics : ATI Radeon HD 5570 1 GB

Hi
Have you checked to see if the memory is compatible with the motherboard? There is the Gigabyte QVL and the G-Skill QVL to check against. If either one of them says it's compatible then there shouldn't be any problem from that side.

Gigabyte QVL: http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_ga-p55-usb3.pdf

The nearest one on the Gigabyte list is : F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK and that is not the same. So I would say check the GSkill list.

If you take out one module does it make any difference? Try each one seperately.

hi lucho, its not exactly the same but we got BSoD and same mobo, but diff ram. i had some OCZ ram and i got BSoD each morning for 14days days and windows got more and more f***ed up. then i changed to 1600 xmp kingston and it works perfectly.

dunno if it helped :)

Well you could try running Memtest86+ on the memory modules one at a time and for at least ten loops each. That should at least prove whether the memory is faulty or not. As denny just said sometimes it's a simple case of incompatibility and only changing the modules will make any difference.
Did you check on the QVL lists like I said in my last post to see if they were copmpatible?

Check on the GSkill's websites QVL as well because not all are on the Gigabyte websites QVL.
