Hi All
I am researching components for a new computer build. The purpose of this machine is as a basic home server. I plan to run Citrix Xenserver with various guest virtual machines. I am drawn to the GA-Q57M-S2H motherboard because it looks like offering a good feature set and in particular support for AMT. I am having difficulty working out if the processor I want will work with this motherboard. The processor will either be an Intel i5-650 or i5-655k. Will the 655k work in this motherboard? I am also having trouble finding out if any of the processor instructions are different between the two chips and if so what effect this will have on my intended use. I hope someone can help and thank you for any replies to this post.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
According to the specsheets the 655K isn't supported anyway so that rather takes the decision out of your hands ;)

Yeah, i thought it was worth asking :-). Can you confirm which version of AMT is on this board?....i think it is version 6.......but cant really tell.

No I am sorry but I do not know what version of AMT is incorporated into the board. I would advise you to ask GGTS for that answer.
