Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
The first thing we would need to know is the full model number is it S2C or S2L?
-
On the manual it has S2L and S2C.
-
Yes because the manual is the same for both boards. What does it say on the board or use a utility like Everest to see.
-
GA-G31M-S2L and my apologies.
-
No problem whatsoever. Just got to be accurate to make sure no mistakes are made as they can prove costly ;)
If you follow this link it wil tell you all the CPUs for your board. Make sure though that you take notice of the From BIOS Version... as you would need to update it to this at least with your old processor before installing the new one.

In your opinion which one do you think would be the most suitable and thank you for your patience.I am pleased that i have found such a usefull forum.

Hard to say because I don't know what you use the computer for, your budget, what cooling you have available. There are too many unknowns.

I would look and see whats available in your area and then choose the model with the best price to clock rate ratio.
