Hi, i looked at the GA-D525TUD, and i see it has 4 stat ports..
but only 2 can be used if you're NOT using raid..right?
I simply don't get it..These mobos are obviously suited for Server/Nas solutions hence the low power-consumpotion,
why not put atleast 4 native sata ports??
Look guys, if you want to make some extra money=D , create a mobo like this:
1. Atleast 4 SATA Ports + possibly IDE (not necesary, but nice)
2. Raid functions
3. Must have wireless AND cable Ethernet, both!
4. USB 3
That's it!
The rest really doesent matter much.. but ofc the more features the better.. but really, i'd like a simple but trustworthy board, i could use for a server.
And note, size is NOT the issue here.. if it's a flex-atx or mini-atx with a D525 Atom.. FINE! the key is low powerconsumption.
if anyone agrees, please say so!

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
There are four SATA ports available on this motherboard. Just because they can be used for RAID doesn't mean they have to be. It just means that RAID is supported. ;)

Hi, thank you for replying?
So you're saying that the 4 sata pots CAN all be used "non-raid", well thats excellent news!.. i'll buy this mobo!
(figured out i can run wireless through a USB dongle..so ..i can get what i want !..weee)
thanks!
