Title: Where is the buzzer connector on H55N-USB3???
Post by: budweiser1046 on October 20, 2010, 07:33:45 am
Hi Folks,

This is my first Gigabyte motherboard, so please forgive me if I am asking a dumb question. Unlike the ASUS boards I used to use, there is no case speaker connector on the Gigabyte H55N-USB3. In the FAQ section of the manual there is a list for "BIOS beep code",but no where in the manual  explains how to make the beeps work. My computer is completely silent until it enters windows, which can't be normal because the manual says if boot successfully there will be a short beep. Does anyone know how I can make the beeps work?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum. I see you also came over from Asus the same as me.

I couldn't believe it at first but this board doesn't come with a connector for a buzzer ::) It instead relies on the use of a debug port so you would need to buy a cheap debug display to utilise it. The connector is shown in the manual see here:
