Title: IEEE 1394 header on GA-P55-USB3
Post by: ricky60 on October 23, 2010, 10:39:22 am
I am new to building PCs and I don't know which header to use for the IEEE 1394 cable. I am using a GA P55 USB3 motherboard. The User's Manual says not to use the USB2 header. Should I use USB3 or the COMA headers?

No do NOT under any circumstances. You can only use a header marked 1394. After checking your manual it would appear that this motherboard doesn't have that connection available. :-\

Thank you for the reply. I thought that might be the case.
