I am building in the middle of building a rig with this board, and for the life of me, I don't even get a boot.
Here are my parts :
4GB Patriot 1333 (PSD34G1333k(
880GM-UD2H MOBO
Thermaltake TR2 430 W PSU
AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black
Silverstone SG02 SUGO Case (might return it, it's ...meh)
1. My case has no speaker on it, so I have no clue what sort of beeps it's giving me, or not giving.
2. I plugged in a hdmi cable from the back panel into my TV and nothing. I don't even see a boot/bios screen or anything.
Any hints/tips/hangups with this build/board to help me get through this? It's been a frustrating few hours with no results.

Nothing seems to work.
Would my periphials and such boot up if the cpu was not seated properly, or some other odd issue?

need a speaker to count beeps with so we can honestly help you. aslo please post bios version. also version of board. For example bios f5 and above supports that processor in rev. 1.3 and on rev. 1 is f25 bios also so more information will help others to be able to help you better.

I see board revision 1.3
I dont have a speaker on me, which sucks. Not sure where to see what bios version...?

Hi
The short answer is no nothing would work if the CPU wasn't seated properly but I think that is unlikely to be the case. Have you made sure that your PSU is connected properly and turned on. Check all your connections to the motherboard. If still nothing I would rebuild it outside the case as there is a possibility that you have a short to earth. Also check your PSU for functioning. PSU Is working properly as far as I can tell. I tested fans , I tested peripheals on all the molex's and sata's. Im getting power.
I think my revision/cpu is the issue.
Rev 1.3 on the 880GM-UD2H i dont think supports the 555 Black Edition

The 555BE is supported from BIOS F5 onwards. So if you are running any BIOS version less than that I expect that is where your problems lie.
