Title: Need help with installing front audio jacks on GA-MA770-US3 motherboard
Post by: Mysterious2k10 on November 05, 2010, 01:38:51 am: Okay so I have a bunch of single pin wires coming out of my front audio jacks. Red and Orange ret/out for the speakers, Blue and Brown for the mic, and a Black wire labeled "ground". The only logical place for them seems to be the "F_AUDIO" panel, but I tried there and they didn't work. I could have possibly had them in the wrong order though, really I don't know.

There's also 4 pins labeled "speak" under "F_PANEL" which I tried with orange and red wires, once again though, didn't work.

Now I'm out of ideas and the user manual has proven useless in this situation. So any help would be greatly appreciated! ;P

All the connections must be attached to the connector block near the rear audio outputs marked F_Audio. If you look in your manual on page 27 it gives you the pin outs there in detail. You cannot use the F_Panel connections marked "speak".

Can you post back with the make & model of the chassis you are using as it might be possible to get hold of the wiring diagram for it so we can have a better understanding of the cabling within the case to help you out?
