Title: ga x85 ud7 rev 2
Post by: mirco on November 05, 2010, 04:18:26 pm
I have a problem with my card ga X58A UD7
I state that I used for myself and for my friends cards Gigabyte
and I've always been satisfied but now I have trouble with this new motherboard
now I was using an older PC with a 8KNXP
I decided to assemble a new machine
So I bought a new motherboard from an online retailer and a CPU i7 950
but to my disappointment when after installing everything I run the system
boot appeared to only 4 of the 6 gb of memory installed and this notice Recovering lost dram size also after several reeboot was started, and also receive BSoD
they traveled on many forums I learned that a case of it could be the socket. so I removed the cpu and I've noticed with a lens that you are bent or broken pins
I phoned the seller to explain what happened that sent me the sheet for the 'RMA
but I also said that it will not be considered because it was my inaccuracy
I'll chance that the mainboard is changed or repaired under warranty

best regards
sorry for my bad english

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

I can only advise from the UK standpoint and that is that Gigabyte will normally accept the board for repair on RMA basis but on the understanding that it is a one off repair, if it happens again there would be no warranty repair done.
I don't know the situation in Italy so I would have to advise you to go to your retailer and try to get them to send it to Gigabyte.
Sorry I cannot help you more than that.

I am afraid the only advice I can offer you is to contact your local Gigabyte Centre yourself and see what they say. Hopefully they willl look kindly on your problem and offer help.
