Just wondering cause on my other computer which is an evga 680i sli actually runa smoother without any of the MOBO drivers installed.

For this new giga board, in windows update, i tried installing the ethernet driver that came up, and i lost internet ability.  So I uninstalled and went back to whatever win 7 had initially installed and then internet was good again.

As a general rule the best option is to download the drivers from the manufacturer's website as these will be the most up to date. If you leave it up to Windows or Windows update to install them often they won't be as specific to your motherboard and may not work as well.
