Hi,
First post and I have tried to search. :)
I upgraded my PC recently with MB, Memory, Processor and Graphic card.
This is what I have now:
GA-X58A-UD3R rev. 1.6
Intel Core⢠i7 Quad Processor i7-950 Quad Core, 3,06Ghz, Socket 1366, 8MB, 130W
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333MHz 6GB CL9 Kit w/3x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24, for Core i7
XFX Radeon HD 5850 1GB GDDR5
730W PSU
Win7 Ultimate 64
Problem is that it restarts several times a day. Most often when browsing internet. Playing games is OK.
I`ve checked temps and they`re OK with cpu in the 30-40C and GPU in the 40C range.
Anybody able to help.
Not an expert, I`m not overclocking.
Edit:
I`ve got 2 HD`s.
Also in Controlpanel there is a yellow flag on "unkmown device"
BIOS is FB and chipset drivers rev. 13, according to CPU-Z.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
Your problem sounds like it is caused by one of two things either a power problem or a bad connection. I would advise you to remove all your PSU connections and then check and reinsert them making sure all the contacts are good.
Try removing the memory modules and refitting them again making sure they are firmly seated.
Post back afterwards if you are still having the problem.

Thx Dark Mantis.
I`ll try it and will report back.
I forgot to mention that after a restart, some of the fora where I am a member have automatically logged me off even when I have ticked the "always logged in" field. Sometimes also the page I was reading in Internet explorer has to be re-added in "favourites" because the link is dead.

I would do a complete virus scan with a good up to date anti-virus checker.
Also what browser do you use and does it only fail when online?

Thanks again for trying to help. :)
I use Explorer 9 Beta now and I had the same troubles with 8.
I Scan for virus regularly and I haven`t tried if it restarts when I browse off-line.

Clean your power supply? (dust?)

Also in Control panel there is a yellow flag on "unknown device"
I would also advise finding out what this "unknown device" is and installing the drivers for it. Just check through all your devices and see what is not listed there. You could also try removing the device and letting Windows find it again.
