Title: H55M-USB3 Core i5-760 GigaByte Geforce 210 continous on and off
Post by: sotetr on November 19, 2010, 01:09:02 pm
Caonfiguration

mainboard:           H55M-USB3
CPU:                     Core i5-760
RAM:                    KHX1600C9D3B1K2/4GX
VGA:                     GV-N210OC-512I
PSU:                     Chiftec 500W

When I start the system, it starts on and a few seconds later off, the on, and off again continously. It doesn't make monitor signal.
I have tried to change everything. When I put in Core i3-540 CPU everithing fine.

I have 5 mainbord 5 processor and 5 VGA and so on, but Core with i5-760 the system continously on and off.

I have refreshed the BIOS F10. Nothing became better.

As I  see the mainbord compatible with CPU but I tried with another VGA-s, no change.

Have you any idea?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

You haven't said whether this is a new build or one that has been runing for a while.

Well there are several things that could be causing this problem. The first one is the PSU as it is a little on the low side and so try removing the drives and anything else that isn't needed to see if that makes any difference. If you have an older GPU try fitting that instead.

All of them new computer parts.

We have solved! Important the RAM slots! Two RAM modules starts only  1st and 2nd ram slot. You must not change it.
If I put the 3rd and 4th slot doesn't work. 1st and 2nd slot will!

Yes that is quite correct and it even says that in the manual if you want to confirm it ;) At least you have managed to sort out your problem.
