Hi there,
Not really sure why your system is freezing but I would try a different Hard drive if possible as the one you are using might be faulty.
-
its true but i cant find another HDD.
freezes, especially more recent versions Bios. What do you think about this subject ?
i'm playing 3-4 hour'COD:Black ops,medal of honor 2010 and not freeze.But freezes all Copy/paste.
-
especially when copying from the external disk to C.
-
I can't explain why you can play a game for 3 hours without freezing unless the game isn't accessing the HDD.
Have you tried clearing CMOS since you updated BIOS? Sometimes this can help.
-
you say 2 pin next to the battery.i tried with jumper(10 sec) and i choose load optimize first drop-down screen.is it True?
-
Yes that's what I mean but it doesn't always work properly.
If you follow the steps here : http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,2286.0.html then you can be sure you have cleared BIOS properly.
If that doesn't work another thing to do is try running your RAM at 1333MHz. I know you have said that it is running OK at 1600MHz but these AM3 CPU's can be really awkward when running above 1333 Mhz.
-
i tried clear cmos and 1333,1600 but no change.i hope problem's in the southbridge(sb850).
This mobo is just problem.Because rev 1.0 1.1 2.0 ........4.6 .4.7 (2 years later :))
-
as if we took the car.1.0 1.1 2.0 :D
-
ultra dma crc error count : 2
Could this be the reason ?
-
This kind of error tends to indicate a problem with the HDD.
This could be because the HDD is failing.
The cable connector is faulty or not connected properly.
-
i chanced cable and tried all sata port but freeze again
-
The only way to discover if the problem is with the motherboard or the Hard drive is to change one of them.
Obviously the easiest item to change would be the Hard drive. :'(
Apart from trying that I don't know what else you can do.
-
thank you very much your helps
i must find another hdd like you say.
i will try it but i must wait 2 week. I will write here to result
-
incredible
Dont freeze installed f3 and f4 bios during idle. But When I did the copy/paste system is freezes. that is just freezes when copying (c to d, usb to usb)i dont undertend usb to usb freezes!
When I install f4 f5 f6 f7 f8 f9b bios freezes both idle and copy/paste.
So; freezes
f3 f4 : Just copy/paste
f4 f5 f6 f7 f8 f9b : copy/paste and idle
-
Maybe it is a faulty memory module. Try running Memtest86+ on the memory one stick at a time for at least ten loops each.
-
Is there a patch (firmware) for your hard drive? I would suggest you check it out..
Goodluck,
jolphil
-
thanks dude;
no firmware for hd103uj
have firmware for hd103sj
I used memtols and eztools.results is good.no problem
i'm used f3 bios because just freezes when copy/paste.Another bios versions freezes during idle and copy/paste.
i'm waiting new hdd.

Just re-read the thread and noticed in your opening post that you have been using the memory at 1600Mhz. It could well be that the CPU's memory controller is playing up now because of this. AMD say that it can exhibit some unusual faults when it happens.
Ram : Kingston 2 gb 1600 mhz (i using 1600mhz and not problem. )
