thus the cpu is running slower 3200 to 2400 MHZ
has any one had the same problem and is there a fix
i have updated the bios to the new one on there web site and its made no differance

Hi and welcome to the forum.
This is supposed to happen as it is part of the power saving options. You can circumvent it by turning them off in the BIOS but unless you are having problem with them why would you want to.

hi dark
had a look at the power setting and they look ok and i have disabled all the settings and its still the same
i know the cpu is getting on in years about 3 years old and the mobo is about 12 month old
whould that have anything to do with it?
cheers

Have you disabled EIST in the BIOS?
The age of the components shpouldn't make any difference. My ststem fluctuates from 21 down to 12 and back again as necessary.
