With the network enabled within the bios, I get a read error after the DMI pool data message. Disable the network, all works fine except of course no network. If I enable the network, the Smart Lan feature within the bios shows nothing. Have updated the bios to version FC and reset the bios settings with still no luck. With the network enabled, booting from a external cloned drive works and can see/read/write to all drives.
Fitted i7 950, 6gb ram, 120 ocz vertex2 (boot) + samsung 750gb + samsung 1gb * 2.

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte UK Forum.
The first thing to do is to clear your CMOS memory completely.
Remove the power cable from the mains supply and then press the power switch on the case for a few seconds just to drain any residual energy in the PSU capacitors.
Once done remove the motherboard battery for at least ten minutes before replacing it.
Next plug back into the mains supply and boot.
You will now need to enter the BIOS by pressing DEL and load Opimised BIOS Defaults.
Make any other changes to the BIOS settings to suit your self and then press F10 to save and exit.

Thanks, worked a treat. :)
Any ideas what would cause the cmos to get corrupted?

Good. I'm glad it's all ok again. No particular reason for the corruption unless you have been delving into the BIOS or upgrading some hardware etc?
