Hi, I wonder if I could get some help with choosing a MB for the i5-655K. I'm trying to specify a rig for running adobe lightroom & Nikon Capture NX2 - both applications dont thread well, hence the choice of a dual core. There seem to be an overwhelming number of boards to choose from - hence my post.
I don't need raid, but do need Esata (2 ports would be good but I can live with one). I don't need extreme graphics performance & I'd like to use (or at least try) the on board graphics.
I will overclock the system, but only to about 4ghz - the choice of the 655k was as a cheaper alternative to the i5 680.
I've researched a bit and come up with the GA-H55M-UD2H coupled with some corsair RAM here http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003EKHKNS/ref=ord_cart_shr?ie=UTF8&m=A17AS5ETPMZ9A1
Would this MB / RAM combo work with the 655K ?
I've a budget of £500 for the MB/RAM/Processor, but cheaper is better
Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.
Your choice of the i5 655K would be fine with the motherboard as long as you are running at least version F9 of the BIOS.
According to the Corsair QVL the memory that you posted will work fine with that motherboard also. You can see here:

Hope that helps

Many thanks for the reply, I guess I need a working processor to flash the BIOS ? Since I'm ordering Online I guess there's no way to find out the BIOS version on the board in advance. Perhaps there's another board that is guaranteed to work with this processor ?
I'll keep looking.
