				Using  X58A-UD3R with RAID1 harddrives
currently connected to SATA Ports 0 and 2 (ICH10R)
Will it be better to connect to ports SATA 6/7  or 8/9 since the controleld by different SATA controllers?

Thye fastest and most stable ports are the ones you are currently using controlled by the Intel ICH10R Southbridge chip. I would advise however to have any optical drives  on another controller. It really doesn't matter which but it needs to be set to IDE mode.

				Hmm,
I have DVD-RAM drive on SATA 4 now and it is working
What will I gain/loose by moving or leaving it as-is?

Well I am assuming that you have set the Intel ICH10R southbridge controller to RAID. The thing is optical drives still like to be run in IDE mode really and can be a bit unstable if not. There again if it aint broke don't fix it springs to mind.

 it aint broke don't fix
It is actually - "if it aint broke, then you are not trying..." :)
Will keep it as is for now...

Yes you still have your other problem to worry about for now. ;)

Just trying to occupy my mind so I am not thinking about video problem:)
I used to build new computer almost every year (or at least major upgrade),
but some time ago I got a different hobby so it is been 6 years since my last PC build.
Kind of feeling bad that I could not get it going and have no spare parts to test :(

It is always easier when you have a few spares to swap parts out, isn't it? Much harder without and even harder again when you are trying to do it without the system in front of you! ;)
Anyway it has gone midnight here so Happy Christmas and I am off.
