Title: GA-870A-UD3 - No Post
Post by: Rstevenson on December 26, 2010, 03:00:16 am
I just build a new system:

- Cool Master Storm Case
- OCZ 600W Power Supply ModXStream
- Adata DDR3 1600 2x2GB (4GB Total)
- Gigabyte GTS 450 1GB
- AMD Phenom II X6 1055
- Sata 1TB Drive
- IDE DVDRW Burner

Hooked everything up and the system will not post or even give beep codes.  Removed all memory, cards, connections, still no post.  I have tried DVI as well as DSUB connections.  I also tried different Video card.  When I power it on, I get case fans, CPU Fan, and Video Fans.  But I don't get anything else

Hi there,

have you connected a motherboard buzzer to hear the POST Beeps?

Have you also checked you have connected all of the power cables properly to the motherboard? If the 24 pin ATX and 8 pin 12V CPU pins aren't inserted correctly it can cause these kinds of problems.

I would suggest that you try testing the motherboard and basic components outside of your PC Case. If you're not sure how to do this have a quick look at this build review: http://forum.giga-byte.co.uk/index.php/topic,3619.0.html as I go through the basics in the first few pages.
