Title: GA-890XA-UD3 No heatpipe?
Post by: musicman53 on January 02, 2011, 01:18:28 am
I decided to order a GA-890XA-UD3 but noticed that the heatpipe is missing....
will that make any difference and is is possible to get the complete heatpipe unit anywhere?

no, it will not make any difference

Unless you're planing to overclock, the heatsinks and heatpipes are "build for the Motherboard to keep it cool when overclocking" comes, that's all

If you were to replace the heatpipe unit it would invalidate the warranty so bear that in mind also.

The easier option would be to use a dedicated fan to add extra cooling to that area if necessary.
