Title: GA-890FXA-UD7 & Crucial SSD 128GB Crucial RealSSD C300 2.5 problem resolved.
Post by: splatoid on January 06, 2011, 06:35:18 am: I fought with this build for 6 weeks before I really got serious and started testing things. I have Firmware v2 on this SSD drive and and I kept getting the most cryptic errors.I found out after many days of browsing the crucial forum and everything else I could read that the firmware v2 was buggy.
No straight forward info on there forum they just act like everything is OK and from what I read they keep the v2 up on their site for months even though there were multiple posts complaining about problems. They didn't even post that they were having any problems with it. Any to make a long story short I updated the firmware (which doesn't specify any of the fixes I needed so I thought it would be pointless) And all my problems are gone. No more errors and my disk speed is back up to normal. I just thought I should post this in case anyone else runs into this mess it may save some hassle in fixing it.
And one more thing. The instructions on updating the firmware with a thumb drive didn't work for me I had to use A cd disk. Then it was quick and easy.

Your right I wish I would have known about it sooner. I even reviewed this drive extensively like I do with all my builds. But saw nothing about it till later.
Oh well it fixed now.
