Title: X58-UD9 Hybrid silent pipe doesnt fit poor design?
Post by: Andyj025 on January 15, 2011, 03:07:28 pm
Hi All,

Just started to build my new pc. Was just about to put the silent pipe in and it is no where neer close to fitting. Basically there is a molex connector (AUX for the GPU) right where the heat pipe is supposed to go about half way along between where the cooler gets bolted in and to the other side of the case.
anyone come across this yet?

Hi and welcome to the Gigabyte Forum.

This is a known issue but it is not something that you need to worry about unless you are going to be filling all the slots with GPUs. As long as you fit the other power connectors it will be ample.

I am running two GTX580's . So what you are saying is that i do not need to plug in the molex connectors? just power into the gpu's

You do not need to use the molex's on the board at all for your GPU's, it's optional, you can connect them to your power supply as you normally would.

Yes that should be adequate. As Lsdmeasap said it is an either/or situation.
