Title: GA-P31-S3G cold boot problem
Post by: makots on July 30, 2009, 03:13:20 pm
I have a GA-P31-S3G which usually requires two or three hits of the reset button from a cold boot to go into XP. I have the latest F7 bios but it continues to be a problem. I am not overclocking and I am running at stock. I ran memtest and the memory is fine. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Try reseating the memory, also try clearing the CMOS as see what that does :)

I had a similar problem with a GA-P35C-DS3R mobo & OCZ Platinum memory, it would only boot when warmed up.  Switched to Crucial Ballistix and it cured the problem.  If you've got any, try booting with different memory.
